There is a significant housing shortage in the UK. The supply of housing is constrained by the supply of land, amongst other issues.

While there is an urgent need for more housing to be built, the Covid-19 pandemic delayed construction activity and Brexit has had a negative ripple effect on supply chains, as well as the availability of labour.

Apart from the lack of supply, other factors are making housing less affordable. These include inflation and rising interest rates, which is making it even more difficult for people to save or take out a mortgage, let alone keep up with existing ones. The rising interest rates, have put pressure on buy-to-let landlords who are increasing rents, which is adding to the financial stress of renters across the country.

 

In this time of economic uncertainty, the need for social housing is now more urgent than ever.

At Ashbrook Housing, we have the experience, network and knowledge to increase the supply of quality social housing and it is our mission to do this as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Over 1 million households are waiting for social homes. Last year, 29,000 social homes were sold or demolished and less than 7,000 were built.

There are several building blocks involved in delivering social housing to a community and partnerships are integral to our model.

LOCAL AUTHORITIES

We work closely with Local Authorities to identify local housing needs and plan our delivery accordingly.

REGISTERED PROVIDERS

We partner with established Registered Providers including Housing Associations and Housing Charities to supply social housing to communities around the UK.

CARE PROVIDERS

We work closely with established Care Providers across the UK to support and empower vulnerable adults to live as independently as possible.

DEVELOPERS & LAND OWNERS

We can form a JV to maximise site or development value. We can also make an agreement to purchase Section 106 stock.

INVESTORS

We partner with institutional funds and private equity investors to implement long-term investment strategies that generate security as well as a positive return for society.

LANDLORDS
