SOCIAL IMPACT
A Sustainable Return for Society
Our investment strategy is focused on generating as much of a return for society as it does for our stakeholders.
Ashbrook Housing’s mission is to increase the supply of Social Housing through refurbished homes and Section 106 across the UK while adhering to our core values.
Our Core Values
Quality
High quality services tailored to tenants’ needs
We improve the energy efficiency of any second-hand home we refurbish and with new builds, we endeavour to align with The Future Homes Standard, ensuring that new homes built from 2025 produce 75-80% less carbon emissions.
Sustainablility
Social Need
Developments designed to meet needs of local communities
Any property investment we make undergoes stringent due diligence checks. Apart from carrying out thorough condition surveys, we take local market trends and vacant possession values into consideration.
Responsibility
Housing that is affordable without compromising quality
Affordability
We add value to second-hand properties through refurbishment works that reduce carbon emissions and long-term leases.
Added Value
“Our strategy is closely aligned with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and driving tangible measurable returns for society and the environment is the fundamental mission behind our investments.”
— Kevin Dhami, CEO, Ashbrook Housing
Net Zero Carbon Emissions
In line with international obligations under the Paris Agreement, the Government has legislated for the UK to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
According to the Climate Change Committee (CCC), household fossil fuel consumption to heat homes and water accounted for 13% of the UK’s total carbon emissions.
For RPs of social and affordable housing, the pathway to net zero outlined by the CCC is focused on retrofitting all housing first, with the vast majority of fabric energy efficiency improvements being completed by 2035 (and all social homes reaching EPC C by 2028), aiming to bring all social housing up to Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) C by 2030.
